Day 2 - Birthday Treat!


Today, my husband got a "Shred Pass" because it is his birthday. (Happy birthday, honey!) I'm making most of the day Shred-Friendly, but he got to enjoy his chai tea this morning.  We all get a pass for dessert tonight. ;-)

Dinner will be at the fringe of friendly: brats with mashed potatoes, corn, and a salad. We get the brats at Harmon's where they're made fresh. Mashed potatoes are always made with non-dairy milk and butter as I'm lactose intolerant. 

Dessert, on the other hand, will not be so friendly. There will be sugar. But I'm keeping it to a minimum and it will still be dairy free. I'll share the recipe on my recipe page when it's finished!

Shred10 - Spring Cleaning!



I'm excited to get started with this Shred10! If you're not familiar with the Shred, it's a 10 day jumpstart to a healthier lifestyle. More fresh food, water, sleep, and activity, and less caffeine, alcohol, gluten, dairy, sugar, and processed food. It's basically like a spring cleaning for your health! Out with the old habits and in with the new! Shred10 is a detox from all the unhealthy things we put into our bodies, as well as our minds! You can do anything for 10 days!

One of my biggest challenges is adding more activity into my days. This time, I'm determined to make that happen. Like the froggy says, "Be the energy you want to attract!" No excuses, just a little movement!
